We are Pairing Champagne with French Fries and it's Awesome!

I read somewhere that champagne and pommes frites were the perfect combination. The high acidity and bubbles of the champagne mixed with the salt and fat from the crunchy French fries was the ideal pairing, they told me.

I tried it. Wow.

Incredible. The noise from the bar at the Marriott Courtyard in DC drifted into the background as I ate each French fry with a sip of Chandon Brut. It was almost sensual. Or maybe I was just missing my She. No, it was the pretty incredible pairing. You can’t always find champagne and French fries on the menu together but when you do, insist on this.
