Sunday Afternoon 911

Sunday Afternoon 911

Sunday afternoon by the pool and we were in the mood for some rosé. Problem was our wine fridge was depleted and we didn’t have any rosé chilled and ready to go. As luck would have it,  a shipment from Naked Wines came last week so we pulled out the 2017 Iaconis Pinot Noir Rosé from the Santa Rita Hills AVA in Santa Barbara, California. For $100 off your first Naked Wine order click here.

We quick-chilled it down to a perfect 55 degrees in ten minutes flat.

How to chill wine in a flash:

  • Fill bucket with ice
  • Add bottle of wine
  • Top with cold water
  • Sprinkle a handful of salt over the ice (ideally kosher or rock salt, but any will do)
  • Spin bottle now and again for about ten minutes

Just in time for the warm weather. Ahhhhh!

On first impressions, we weren’t sure about this bottle of rosé, the label is basically just a giant barcode - making us think it could be generic. But it was not. He prefers acidic dry rosés as opposed to the fleshy fruity type. This wine falls in the middle of the spectrum, so He’s dubbed it “a real crowd pleaser.”  At our Naked Wines discounted price of $13, we’d buy it and sip it by the pool again.
